Mario Palmieri - Death Chamber

For the CLINIC project, Mario Palmieri presents a series dedicated to the death chamber of Cochin Hospital (Paris). His work focuses on the visual translation of the organization of this part of the hospital. A technical organization is set up around death, from the preparation of the bodies to the reception of the families.

Born in 1960 in Montalto-Uffugo, Italy, Mario Palmieri lives and works in Paris. He has a degree from the Academie des Beaux-Arts d'Amiens. He has exhibited at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (1998), Maison d'Art Contemporain Chaillioux, Fresnes (1999, 2001), Villa de Noailles, Hyères (2002), Jousse Entreprise Gallery, Paris (2002), Gebauf-Breda Gallery, Pays-Bas (2003), and Taf Gallery, Paris (2004, 2005). His work is regularly published in the magazine Numéro.
