Constant Année - Consultations

Constant Anée has dedicated his work to the portraits of "ordinary" people in their own universe and their daily lives. For CLINIC, he has realized portraits of doctors, generalists and specialists in their medical offices. If the central element remains man, the environment maintains a significant importance. His subjects are systematically photographed twice: once sitting behind their desks, then again in the examination room. The decor of the doctor's office, its furnishings, the objects exposed, all reveal aspects of the doctor's personality.

Constant Anée was born in 1970 in Poissy (France). He lives and works in Paris. He has exhibited at Hotel Meurice, Paris (2002), in the group show No More Than I Know, Sydney, (2003) and at the Madé Gallery, Paris (2001, 1999). He has published Rencontres (National Center for Photography, 1999). His work has been shown in numerous magazines including Photos Nouvelles, Doing Bird, W, Commons & Sense, Encens,Big, Self Service, Zoo.
